Privacy policy

The short version

You can use most of LewdPub without telling us anything. We do not sell your data, we do not build an advertising profile on you, and we do not email you things you did not ask for. We keep what we need to run the site and not much else.

Below is exactly what that means, in detail. Given what this site is about, you probably care about this more than usual — so we have tried to be specific rather than vague.

What we collect

If you never make an account

You can browse every game on this site without signing up, and we will not know who you are. What our servers still see is the ordinary technical stuff any website sees:

• Your IP address.
• Your browser and operating system.
• Which pages you loaded, and when.

We also record your IP address when you start a download, so we can spot bots hammering the site and abuse of the download system.

If you make an account

• Your email address. Needed, so you can reset your password.
• Your username and, if you set one, a display name.
• Your password, stored hashed. We cannot read it. Nobody here knows what it is.
• Anything you choose to add to your profile — avatar, cover image, short bio. All optional, all public.

If you sign in with Google or Facebook

We receive your email address and basic profile information from them, and that is it. We do not get your password, your contacts, your friends list, or permission to post anything anywhere. Google and Facebook will know you signed into LewdPub. If you would rather they did not, register with an email and password instead.

What you do on the site

If you are logged in, we store the things that make the features work:

• Comments you post (public, obviously).
• Games you like.
• Games on your watchlist.
• Games you requested.
• Games you have viewed, which is what fills in your history and the "recently viewed" parts of your profile.

That last one is worth saying out loud: if you are logged in, your viewing history is recorded against your account. It is visible to you on your own profile. If that bothers you, browse logged out — nothing is tied to you then.

What we do not collect

• We do not take payments, so we hold no card details, no billing address, nothing financial. The site is free.
• We do not ask for your real name, your age documents, your phone number, or your address.
• We do not read your email or scan your machine.

Third parties that see something

We keep this list short on purpose.

• Google reCAPTCHA runs on the download button, to stop bots from scraping every link on the site. Google collects device and browser information to decide whether you are a human. It is subject to Google's own privacy policy and terms.
• Google Analytics tells us how many people visited and which games are popular. It is aggregate traffic data — we use it to decide what to add next, not to follow individuals around.
• The file hosts. The moment you click a download you are on Mega, Pixeldrain, Datanodes or wherever, and you are subject to their privacy policy, not ours. We have no control over what they log.
• Discord and Telegram, if you join the community. That is a separate thing you opt into, and their rules apply there.

We do not sell your data. We do not trade it, rent it, or hand it to data brokers. There is no advertising network on the site today. If that changes we will update this page and say so plainly before we do it.

Email

We use your email address for account things only — verifying your address, resetting your password, and telling you if something serious happens to your account. We do not send newsletters or promotional email.

How long we keep things

Account data stays while your account exists. Server and download logs are kept for a short period and then rotated out. Comments stay up unless you or we remove them.

Deleting your account

Email [email protected] from the address on the account and ask. We will delete the account, the profile, the watchlist, the likes, and the history.

Two honest caveats. Comments you have posted may be left in place with the account detached, so that conversations other people took part in do not turn into holes. And backups take a while to age out, so it is not instantaneous everywhere. Ask and we will tell you where it stands.

You can also just ask us what we hold on you, and we will tell you.

Security

The site runs over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed. We keep the software patched.

We are not going to pretend we are a bank. This is a free adult games index run by a small team. Use a password you do not use anywhere else — which is good advice for any site, and especially one like this.

People under 18

This site is for adults only and we do not knowingly hold data on anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has made an account here, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change how any of this works — a new analytics tool, an ad network, anything that touches your data — this page gets updated and the date at the top changes.
